How we put this together: We haven’t run a route business on GorillaDesk. This guide reads GorillaDesk’s published pricing page and FAQ line by line and turns them into worked examples. Where the page doesn’t say something, we tell you so you can ask before you sign up.
The short answer
- GorillaDesk charges per route (schedule), not per user. One route is $49/month on Basic, $99 on Pro, $149 on Growth, paid monthly.
- Extra routes: on Basic, routes 2-3 add $50/month each and route 4+ adds $30/month each. On Pro and Growth, each added route is +$50/month.
- Texting is a separate small bill: a $5/month SMS subscription plus prepaid credit packs that never expire.
- No setup fees and no contracts, data migration is free, and monthly accounts can be frozen in your off-season.

1. What counts as a “route”
This is the most important thing to get right, because it sets your whole bill. GorillaDesk’s FAQ explains it with one question: do your technicians ride together or solo?
- Solo techs: each tech who runs their own day needs their own schedule, so each one is a paid route.
- Crews that ride together: only the crew leader or supervisor needs a schedule. A three-person crew in one truck can be one route.
Users are separate from routes. GorillaDesk says admin, manager, sales and crew users are unlimited and free on every plan. Only users assigned to a specific schedule need a paid seat. If you have an office manager and a part-time bookkeeper, they don’t add to your bill.

All prices are “Paid Monthly (USD)” as shown on the page, checked Oct 2026. “Not listed” means we didn’t find it in that plan’s list. It doesn’t necessarily mean it’s unavailable, so ask GorillaDesk if one of those features decides it for you.
Annual pricing: the page has a Monthly/Yearly toggle and its FAQ says annual subscriptions are billed for the full year up front, but we couldn’t confirm a published annual price. Check the toggle yourself before you assume a discount.
3. Worked examples: the monthly bill by route count
This is our own arithmetic from the published route prices, before tax, card fees and texting:
| Routes | Basic | Pro | Growth |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $49 | $99 | $149 |
| 2 | $99 | $149 | $199 |
| 3 | $149 | $199 | $249 |
| 4 | $179 | $249 | $299 |
| 5 | $209 | $299 | $349 |
Two things stand out:
- Basic gets cheaper per route from the fourth route on ($30 per added route instead of $50). A 5-route operation on Basic costs $209/month.
- Pro costs $50/month more than Basic at every size from 1 to 3 routes ($99 vs $49, $149 vs $99, $199 vs $149). The gap grows once Basic’s $30 routes kick in (+$70 at 4 routes, +$90 at 5). You’re paying for online booking, the customer portal, automated subscription billing, review generation, QuickBooks sync and Drive Matrix routing. If you already bill recurring customers by hand every month, automatic subscription billing alone may justify it.
4. Text-message (SMS) costs, explained
GorillaDesk’s SMS pricing has two parts:
- $5/month subscription. This gives you texting before, during and after jobs, on a local number that forwards to your main business line.
- Prepaid credit packs, used only for outgoing texts:
- $50 for 1,000 texts (5 cents each)
- $100 for 2,500 texts (4 cents each, “save 20%”)
- $200 for 8,000 texts (2.5 cents each, “save 50%”)
GorillaDesk says the credits never expire. The per-text figures are our division of the listed pack prices.
Example (our math): a 2-route business doing 160 visits a month that sends one reminder and one “on my way” text per visit uses about 320 texts a month. The $50 pack would last about three months. Including the $5 subscription, that works out to about $21/month for texting. The $100 pack would bring it closer to $18/month. Your numbers will differ with how many automated messages you turn on.
5. Fees GorillaDesk says you won’t pay
From the same page, checked Oct 2026:
- No setup fees and no contracts. Plans are month-to-month.
- Free data migration. The customer success team imports contact info, service and billing addresses, notes and a starting balance. The page says you cannot import complete past service or billing history, so export old records before you cancel your current system.
- Unlimited training for you and your team.
- Freeze option: monthly subscribers can freeze the account if the business is seasonal.
- Custom document generation at no extra cost.
6. Fees that sit outside GorillaDesk
- Card processing. GorillaDesk integrates with Stripe and Square, so you pay those processors’ rates. GorillaDesk’s pricing page doesn’t publish a card rate of its own. Stripe is the one that supports subscription billing, and Square lets you swipe cards in the field with its hardware. You can connect both.
- Zapier. The Pro plan lists a Zapier integration, but your Zapier subscription (if you need a paid one) is separate.
7. What to ask before you sign up
- “Does my crew setup count as one route or several?” Describe exactly who rides together.
- “Is there an annual price, and what is it for my route count?” (The Yearly toggle exists, but we couldn’t confirm a figure.)
- “How long is the free trial, and which plan does it start on?” GorillaDesk’s affiliate page mentions a 14-day trial. The pricing page encourages starting on Growth.
- “If I freeze my account for winter, is there any fee, and is my data kept?”
- “Will the 25-stop limit on Basic routing be a problem for my busiest day?”

Bottom line
GorillaDesk’s pricing is easy to predict once you count routes, not people. A solo tech pays $49 (Basic) or $99 (Pro) a month, plus about $5-$20 a month for texting at typical volumes. A crew that rides together counts as a single route, which keeps the bill low for lawn and pool teams. The open questions are the annual price and anything a feature list says nothing about, so settle those with GorillaDesk during the trial.
