How we put this together: We haven’t plowed or salted with either tool. This guide compares what Jobber and LawnPro publish on their own snow-removal pages and in Jobber’s help center. Where we add numbers, we say it’s our math. Run a few real properties through a free trial before you rely on any of this.

Best for…

  • Already on Jobber and just adding winter work: Jobber’s help center describes a workaround that uses one season-long recurring job per property, set to “As needed,” with visits added when it snows.
  • Want snow-specific tools built in: LawnPro’s snow page lists storm events with priority tiers, per-push, seasonal or time-and-materials billing, and GPS time logs with before-and-after photos.
  • Not sure you want snow at all: Pilot it with 10 properties in a free trial before you sell season contracts.

The short answer

  • Snow breaks a normal recurring schedule because you don’t know the dates ahead of time. Jobber’s own help article opens with that question: “how can you create a schedule when you don’t know when it’s going to snow?”
  • Jobber’s answer is a workflow, not a snow module. Set up a recurring job per property that covers the season, set it to “As needed,” then create visits in bulk when it snows. Billing can be a fixed amount per period or per completed visit.
  • LawnPro’s snow page describes it as built for this: storm events with trigger depths, priority tiers, auto-generated routes, per-push, seasonal or time-and-materials billing, photo proof and GPS timestamps.
  • We didn’t price LawnPro here. Check its pricing page. Jobber’s plan prices are in our Jobber pricing guide.

1. Why snow doesn’t fit a normal route

Mowing is the same stop every week. Snow is a trigger: some storms need every property, some need only the commercial lots, and the number of visits per season is unknown. Both vendors treat a snow event as something you create when it happens, and then dispatch crews against it.

2. How Jobber says to set it up

Jobber’s help center has a snow removal workflow article (one version for its legacy schedule, updated March 24, 2026, and one for the new schedule, updated July 15, 2026). The steps, in Jobber’s words and examples:

StepWhat Jobber’s article says
Recurring job per propertyCreate a recurring job for each property you’ll do snow removal for this season, with a duration that covers the whole season. Jobber says to make it longer than you think it needs to be.
Repeat settingChoose “As needed – we won’t prompt you.” That lets you book visits for the job when the snow falls. Jobber’s way of thinking about it: the job is the contract, and the visits are the individual days you do the work.
Billing styleFixed price: the client is billed the same amount per billing period no matter how many visits (Jobber’s example: $1,000 a month). Visit-based: the client is billed per completed visit (Jobber’s example: 5 visits at $50 = $250). The new-schedule article says to pick visit-based invoicing if you do “per push” billing.
Line items for snow depthIf you charge different rates by snow depth, make a job for each. Jobber’s example: one job with a line item for under 6 inches and another for over 6 inches.
Tags for zonesTag clients by area (Jobber’s examples: “north,” or “zone a,” “zone b”) so you can create visits for one zone at a time.
Create the visitsWhen it snows, open Create new visits, filter jobs by description, line items or tags, select them, assign users and create the visits. Visits then show on the calendar.
LimitsUp to 500 jobs can appear in the tool at once, but visits can be generated for only 100 jobs at a time. Over 100, do it in batches by narrowing the filters.

Jobber’s separate snow removal software page adds that you can map the day’s snow jobs, generate the fastest, most fuel-efficient route, reschedule by drag and drop, auto-charge cards saved on file (“perfect for monthly snow removal contracts”), and send automated emails and texts before, during and after each snow event. It also says you can suggest de-icing add-ons or monthly snow removal packages on quotes. Jobber’s FAQ on that page says lawn care owners use it too, and that seasonal work in summer and winter is a fit.

3. What LawnPro lists for snow

LawnPro’s snow removal page says its tools are “purpose-built” for snow and ice work, with “no workarounds.” What it lists:

  • Storm events and priority tiers. Its FAQ says you create events with trigger depths, set tiers and auto-generate efficient routes for trucks and crews.
  • Billing: “Per-push, seasonal, or T&M billing.”
  • Proof of work: crews can capture GPS time logs, notes and before-and-after photos, which the page ties to compliance and insurance.
  • Customer updates: automated updates before, during and after service.
  • QuickBooks Online sync: two-way. Per its FAQ, QuickBooks Sync is an add-on on the Solo, Startup and Grow plans and is included with Plus.

Jobber’s pricing page lists photos and attachments on jobs and GPS tracking, but we couldn’t tell from the page which plan each starts on, so ask before you count on them for snow proof.

5. What to test before you sell season contracts

  • Create 10 test properties and one “As needed” season job for each. Does the visit-creation step find them by tag or line item?
  • Create a visit for every property at once. Is the 100-job batch limit going to matter for your list?
  • Send one test invoice both ways (fixed price and per visit). Which one matches how you sell snow?
  • Check what your crew sees on their phone when a new snow visit lands. Can they add photos and notes?
  • Ask each vendor what changes on your bill if you add users for the winter. Our Jobber pricing guide shows Jobber’s $29-a-month extra user charge.

Bottom line

If you’re already running mowing on Jobber, the published workflow lets you add snow with the tool you have, at the cost of some setup per property and a 100-job batch limit. If snow is a big share of your winter, LawnPro’s page lists the snow-specific pieces (storm events, per-push billing, photo proof) as built in, so price it and trial it before you commit. Either way, try ten properties first.

Before you pay

  • Count everyone who needs a login this winter, not just the owner.
  • Ask how the tool bills per push versus per season before you quote customers.
  • Check card and payment fees. Jobber’s are on its pricing page: 2.9% + 30¢ online.

Both vendors let you test before you pay. Try your real property list.
